“ I'm not understanding the low ratings here. We stopped by for lunch on Tuesday and the food and service were outstanding. The salsa and chips were some of the best I've had. Light crispy warm chips and the salsa had a kick. My fajitas were sizzling when they arrived with a healthy serving of grilled onions and all the fixings. I had plenty left over for dinner and they were still delicious, even at room temperature. This is a restaurant I will visit again when I return to Austin. ”
“ Brisket fajitas and salsa were top notch I would highly recommend and definitely return ”
“ The food, drinks and ambience were 5 star for Me. I was looking for a good traditional tex-mex meal and it more than met my expectations. Split the fajita platter. Portion size was plenty for 2 people. Traditional margarita was served with choice of sugar or salt rim. Chips and salsa were complimentary and salsa was fresh , spicey and delicious ”
“ Recommend downtown Austin stop. Easy to find, laid back vibe, and outdoor seating on good days. I was in town solo looking for a decent brunch and I place I could watch Sunday football. Found it! Not a large bar but with three TVs I was set. And the brunch was impressive. Big fan of New Mexican huevos rancheros and decided to try a Tex-Mex version. Quite good--everything is served on top of 2 crispy tostados, with the black beans having a bit of a kick. The eggs were perfect. A rich sauce complements, not overwhelms. I added a side of bacon and a house margarita. Superb brunch. Next time I'm here on a weekend I will be back! ”
“ Micheladas was our first stop upon arriving in Austin--we were hungry and longing for a tasty margarita. The short walk from the Westin Austin Downtown was a delightful start. The menu was straightforward, which I appreciated, though it didn't particularly wow me with its options. We ordered nachos with shrimp to share and I chose the De La Tierra Enchiladas for my main dish. I enjoyed this vegetarian option, but found myself missing the heartiness of meat, which is more a personal preference than a critique of the dish itself. The spicy margarita was a highlight, delivering just the right kick. As a tourist in Austin, I wouldn't label Micheladas as a must-visit. While it was decent, there are other spots I'd prioritize for a return visit. ”
“ Micheladas Cafe y Cantina ("Micheladas") is a somewhat classy classic Tex-Mex restaurant located on Trinity St. between 5th & 6th St. in DT Austin. Walking around before a work-event this evening, I stumbled upon it happenstance (I usually use Yelp(!) for assistance, but alas, my app privileges have been deactivated - thinking of big-tech censorship ala Meta, drawing parallels from Jeremy Stoppelman to Zuck). I guess Yelp(!) now discriminates against meat-eaters. In any event, I digress! It's a good restaurant with a great atmosphere and attentive staff. Since this is my first time here, I can't elaborate much more than that. I would be more than happy to recommend this place to friends, family and acquaintances. ”
“ Hosted our clients on the venue side of Micheladas in the Coppertank. Everything was seamless and prompt for our guests. A/C was keeping us cool in this hot Texas summer weather. Food was delicious with chicken and beef fajitas and verde cheese enchiladas. My new fav enchiladas there! Brenda and her staff do an amazing job! We will be back for our next event! ”
“ Randomly stopped in here while roaming downtown...great find! It's SPICY! Fun vibe, indoor and outdoor seating, good service. The Queso Esperanza is realllllly yummy...tender steak...but it's quite spicy!! The salsa is SO fresh and delicious! Spicy also! Heck, even the Moscow Mule was spicy...We would return! ”
“ Very good! Super cute and great service. We were there on a Saturday night before the Austin Half Marathon (carb loading). We had the table side guacamole to start. Then I had the quesadilla and my husband had the fajitas. I would definitely go back again! Good fresh salsa and chips! ”
